Maricopa County IDA Focused Projects

Who we are
The Maricopa County IDA is a conduit issuer that was created in accordance with Arizona law to provide lower cost financing for qualified Projects through the issuance of revenue bonds. The Maricopa County IDA’s Bonds are exempt from Arizona income taxation and, if in compliance with the Internal Revenue Code, the bonds can be exempt from federal income taxation.
The Maricopa County IDA is run by a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is comprised of nine private, volunteer citizens appointed by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to serve six year terms. The Board of Directors meets monthly or as otherwise necessary.
In addition to appointing the Maricopa County IDA’s Board, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors has final approval on bond issuances.
Maricopa County and the Maricopa County IDA have worked efficiently for over 45 years and have successfully assisted in increasing affordable housing, creating jobs and enhancing the State’s economic vitality.
